Abstract

This research article actually contains a different historical method review about the democratic system and its importance on various aspects. And discussed out, does this system and theory capable to be practiced in different countries and cultures? And especially the article is placed in the context that how much space there is, in the Islamic concept of ruling system to accept the democratic system with its original characteristics or it can be adjusted with some modifications in Islamic society? And also here, a summary of the beginning and evolution era of democracy has been presented. Moreover, some renowned names are also introduced as a founders and promotors of the democratic concept. Also discussed that their efforts, and meanwhile the democratic theory suffered from various contradictions. There is enough discussion on the non-religious element in the democratic theory. Although, this research will facilitate the reader in comparative assessment. And also, it tells the point of view of many renowned Islamic scholars who categorically discussed the democratic theory and its significance, merits and demerits.
