Abstract

The commands of Islam are clear and straightforward. In Islam, there is no permission for music; in fact, Islamic scholars consider vocal sounds and instruments that resemble music to be part of music, and they do not permit their use. In this article, the opinion of esteemed Islamic scholars is presented regarding vocal sounds that resemble music. However, the vocal sounds that do not create a musical tune are allowed, such as a simple bird’s voice, the sound of falling water, and the sound of footsteps. However, when vocal sounds are combined, producing sounds of musical instruments or clear music, their use or listening is not permissible.
