Abstract

Khalid bin Walid (RA) companion of the prophet (SAW) and one of the greatest military commanders in Islamic history. Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (RA) is known as "Saifullah" The (Sword of Allah) was one of the most renowned  military commanders in Islamic history was born in a power full Banu Makhzum class of the Qurash tribe is Makkah, he initially opposed Islam, but later on he embraced Islam and became  one of the greatest hero of Islam. His family was known for military skills. He initially fought against Muslims in the battle of Uhud and played a vital role in the Muslim loss. He embraced Islam in 629 AD (8th year of Hijrah). His conversion was a major gain for Muslims due to his bravery and leadership. The battle of Mutah Prophet (SAW) gave him the title of Saif Ullah (Sword of Allah). Khalid bin Walid among the victory of Makkah (630 AD). He played an important role in Key victories of the battle of Hunayan and Taif, after Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) Ridda wars rebellious tribes under caliph Abu Bakr (RA) and Reunited the Arabian Peninsula under Islam. The Famous victory in the Battle of Yamuk (636 AD) which crushed Roman Power in Syria. Despite wishing for martyrdom, he died a natural death in (642 AD) in home (Syria). He reportedly, said with sorrow. "I fought in hundreds of battles, yet I die on a bed like woman. May the eyes of cowards never sleep?"
